Creating the Future - STRING Regional Report 2014
29-09-2014
STRING has created a 2014 Regional Report as a set of basic indicators that can be followed and will develop in the coming years. These will, over the coming years, tell a story about our part of the world, how we develop as societies, perform in economic terms and how we preserve our environment.

STRING, the political collaboration between Region Skåne in Sweden, Capital Region, Region Zealand and the City of Copenhagen in Denmark and Schleswig Holstein and Hamburg in Germany, is working together to create green growth in the corridor between Hamburg and Skåne.

We work with both traditional growth, we are looking after the environment, we are innovative when it comes to sustainable products and processes, and we will optimize the benefit of the new accessibility and mobility that derives from the massive investment in the Fehmarnbelt Tunnel and the rail and roads in Denmark and Germany.

Step by step we will move closer in the coming years, discovering each others sights, culture, eventually do more business, research or innovation together and later maybe create a bigger market, a common labour- and housing market - and having multiplied our options.

We have created the STRING regional report 2014 as a set of basic indicators that can be followed and will develop in the coming years. Many of those are dependent on a larger picture that just the STRING geography and it´s 8,4 million inhabitants, but they will - over the coming years - tell a story about our part of the world, how we develop as societies, perform in economic terms and how we preserve our environment.
